- Banana flowers
- Water
- Oil-2tbsp
- Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
- Dry red chillies-2
- Cumin seeds-1/4 tsp
- Black gram dal-1 tsp
- Curry leaves-few (for seasoning)
- Chopped onions-2tbsp
- Chopped green chillies-2tsp
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Green gram dal(moong)-2tsp(semi boiled in water)
- Grated coconut-2tbsp
- Limejuice-1tsp
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
- Clean the banana flowers and chop into tiny pieces.
- Boil the flowers in salt and water and keep aside.
- Heat oil in apan .
- Add mustard seeds,red chillies,cumin seeds,whole blackgram dal.
- Now add curry leaves and chopped onions.
- Saute till the onions turn translucent.Add chopped green chillies,turmeric powder,semi boiled greengram dal,grated coconut .
- Add boiled banana flowers,salt and limejuice.Mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves .
- serve hot with plain rice.
